As Sakuragi and Kaji struggle to address the Kanamori issue, Kanamori’s ties with the Ichikō Alliance deepen, leaving Sakuragi on the verge of giving up. Amidst discussions of Kanamori becoming a sworn brother to Shingo Ōtatsu (Yoshihiro Fujiwara), the Ichikō Alliance’s headquarters chief, Sakuragi sends assistant underboss Naruhide Funaki (Yuma Ishigaki) to infiltrate Kanamori’s group.
